Charlette "Linda" Morris

Charlette “Linda” Morris joined our family in heaven Saturday, September 10, 2016. Linda was preceded in death by her husband John Allen Morris III, and her parents Walter and Charlette Dyson. Linda is survived by her children, Theresa (Ken) Middle, John Allen (Wendy) Morris IV, and Andrea Richardson. Linda was a sister to Leilani “Lani” (Bob) Kiess, Alana Dee (Harold) Eurich, and Bernd “Bernie” (Heather) Dyson. Grandma Linda was a loving Grandmother to Cassandra Morris (Julio Delossantos), McKinney (Miya) Malory, Deardra Church, Brandy (James) Owens, Jermaine (Amanda) Greene, Ashley Aoki, Jonell (Choss) Rossman, Trinity Morris, Scott Michael Richardson, Jason Richardson, and Jessica Richardson. She was a Great-Grandmother to Nathaniel Allen Morris, Mason Church, Faith Scholtz, Ariana Greene, Hayden Greene, Kiah Greene, and Marceline Richardson.

Education was very important to Linda, she attended Bethel School of Nursing and started working as a RN in the NICU at Memorial Hospital in 1979. Linda loved being a nurse and working with babies, so much so that she cuddled the babies and crocheted hats for them long after her retirement in 2004. Retirement didn’t stop Linda, she loved to travel, camp, fish, spend time in the mountains, and Blue Mesa was her favorite. Linda was a member of St. Mary’s Church and with her beautiful voice was a part of the choir for over 30 years. Linda kept busy as a member of Beta Sigma Phi, the Red Hat Elites, and participating in Never Alone breakfasts. Her artistic abilities were astonishing, her quilts are beautiful and loved by all, cross stitch Christmas stockings are cherished by kids and grandkids alike. She had many friends. She will be missed by all.

Viewing Services will be held at Memorial Gardens 3825 Airport Rd. Colorado Springs, CO 80910 on Thursday 5-9pm. Funeral Services will be held at St. Mary’s Cathedral, 22 W Kiowa St. Colorado Springs, CO 80903 on Friday September 16th at 2:00pm.
