Christopher “Chris” Mata received a front row seat in heaven on April 1, 2012. Chris resided in Colorado Springs for more than 20 years. Chris’s life was anything but ordinary. He earned his boxing gloves on December 13, 1949 and has been fighting ever since. Chris was happiest when he was antagonizing people. He appreciated cop shows. Chris will be missed by his family and friends. Chris’s life was greatly enhanced by many including his host home provider, David Rodriguez and David’s family, housemate Paul, Ariel Clinical Services, Special Kids Special Families, The Resource Exchange and The Arc of the Pikes Peak Region. A memorial service will be held to celebrate Chris’s life on Friday, April 6, 2012 at 10:00 a.m.at Advantage Funeral Home.
