Cindy Bell Deem, age 78, of Colorado Springs, passed away after a brave fight with cancer on July 25, 2026. Cindy was born August 11, 1947, in San Jose, California to Bill and Bettie Lowe. She and her younger sister, Debbie Grafton, grew up enjoying fishing, camping, and going to the beach. Cindy met the love of her life, Dwight, in 1962 while a Freshman at Campbell High School. She graduated in 1965 and they married in 1967 in Saratoga, California. They had two beautiful children, Brian and Krista. In 1979, they moved to Colorado Springs where they built a home to raise their family. Cindy had many hobbies including stained glass, crafting and sewing, as well as being an outdoor enthusiast which she instilled in her children and grandchildren. She loved to play tennis through which she made many friendships. She loved animals, especially cats, and was known to rescue the injured wildlife she encountered. Her love of exploring and adventure took her all over the world from Gorilla Trekking in Africa for her 50th wedding anniversary to the Pyramids of Egypt. She walked The Great Wall of China, visited the penguins in Antarctica and watched the Northern Lights in The Arctic. She was a long-standing member of Questers International. Cindy is survived by her husband, Dwight Deem (80), son, Brian Deem (52) and wife Bridget, her daughter, Krista Tribble (50) and husband Daniel, grandchildren, Kaitlyn Deem (26), Zoe Bonadie-Deem (21), Lily Deem (15), Jaden Tribble (24), and August Tribble (21) as well as her sister, Debbie Grafton (76) and husband Bill.
Services will be held on August 22, 2026 at 11am at Swan Law located at 501 N. Cascade Ave with a reception to follow from 1-3:30pm at Cheyenne Mountain Conference Resort located at 3225 Broadmoor Valley Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region.
