Clarence W. (Bill) Edling, passed away peacefully on Saturday November 5, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. Bill was preceded by his first wife Emily, his bothers Art and Wally, and soon to be joined by his sister Ruby. He is survived by his loving wife Rosemarie, 6 children, and 26 grandchildren over 3 generations. He was part of the Greatest Generation and a B-24 crewman in WWII; he retired from the Air Force in 1966. Afterwards, he owned his own donut shop, and then worked for Sam’s Club for 25 years when he retired in 2009. Bill never met a stranger and was a great friend to all. Throughout his life he danced and sang like nobody was watching or listening. Born in Minnesota on 8 May 1925 to Rueben and Esther Edling, he was an avid sports fan that enjoyed traveling around the world, and more than anything wanted to spend time with those that meant the most to him, his friends and family. Services will be held November 11th at 1 pm at Memorial Gardens. Please make donations to Pike’s Peak Hospice www.pikespeakhospice.org in his memory. Bill will be loved and missed.
