Clarence A. Hermes died on February 3, 2014 at the age of 87.
He was a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, where he lived from August 1965 to February 2014. He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Estelle M. “Stella” Hermes. Others who preceded him in death include both parents, John and Mary Hermes; sisters, Mildred Brunner, Victoria Urban, Rita Hermes; and brothers, Raymond Hermes and Gerald Hermes.
He is survived by daughter, Jeannette Smith; son, Chris Hermes; sister, Lucilla Herman; brothers, Eugene Hermes, Bishop Herbert Hermes, O.S.B., Norbert Hermes, Dr. Jerome Hermes; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A Rosary will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, February 15, 2014 with a Memorial Mass following at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Cathedral. His final resting place is to be a sunny location in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Solomon, Kansas.
