

Clifford J Howe was born June 2, 1934 in Colorado Springs. He attended Cheyenne Mountain schools and wedded his high school sweetheart Darlene Bronson, April 11, 1953. They were separated by her passing in 2012.
Preceded in death by his mother and father, Clifford Howe and Ethel Mae Howe, as well as brother Royal and sister Dixie Jines; Clifford is survived by his sister, Barbara Reaves, son, Scott (Julie), and daughter Robi Callahan. His legacy includes six grandchildren; Sara, Laura, Erin, Jessica, Grady, and Katie, and eight great-grandchildren.
Clifford worked as a Colorado Springs police officer and supervisor for 31 years. He was employed full time by the city of Colorado Springs for thirty-five years and continued working 30 years as a part-time bus driver for the city's Senior Center and Therapeutic Programs. In addition, for 25 years Clifford worked at the Ivywild/Cheyenne Canyon volunteer fire department.
Clifford enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and square dancing. He also enjoyed the many activities and performances of his grandchildren.
Clifford J Howe will be missed by all for his ready wit, his tenacity, and his mischievous, twinkling, baby blue eyes.
