

Colleen moved to Colorado Springs as a young girl. She graduated from Colorado Springs High School and attended Colorado College. She married her high school sweetheart, Maurice "Moe" Baker on June 19, 1949. They raised two children and were very active and involved in the community. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Colorado Springs Country Club, Broadmoor Country Club, and Arizona Country Club.
Colleen enjoyed golf, bridge, reading, going to the mountains, traveling, and volunteering for many organizations. She is best remembered for her fun-loving spirit. She made life more fun for her family and friends and was loved by all who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her sister and best friend, Bonnie Thomas, and her beloved husband Moe Baker. She leaves behind to cherish her memory son Michael (Debra), daughter Kathryn Petersen (Dean), five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was anxious to welcome two more in the coming months! She is also survived by seven nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life and memorial service will be on Friday, May 29 at 10:00 a.m. at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 N. Cascade. Donations in her name may be made to the charity of your choice.
