Dalton welcomed me into his family a number of years ago.  I respected his openness, delightful smile, and his compassion.  I know that loosing an aging parent is hard even when we know it is time.  Many blessing for all of you.

Dear Murrah family, one and all -
 
It was with great sadness that I learned of Dalton's passing, and amazed at his age. He 
was the most friendly, honorable, and wonderful man God ever put on this earth and we
were so lucky to be able to call him a friend.
 
Memories from long ago, and more recent, will fill our hearts with joy, and gratitude to have
been privileged to have him in our lives.  He had a huge impact on many of our lives and those fond memories will live with us forever.
 
He and Audeen made a beautiful patchwork quilt that they gave me as a wedding gift over 30 years ago.  Much of the material was from my mother's scraps and Dalton told me the
knots at each seam of the patches were love knots he had tied himself.  You may be able
to imagine how my heart sings every time I look at that quilt, and always will.
 
Please accept my sincere condolences.  I'm hoping you can feel a great sense of love 
surrounding you and the caring that is in so many hearts. May each day's sun warm you
and every blue sky lift you, and may God hold you in the palm of his hand to comfort and
grant you peace during this difficult time.

Dalton was inspirational in his ability to give.  He would have given (and probably did many times) the shirt off his back to any stranger, and was just full of forgiveness and love.  He lived life to its fullest, and his wonderful smile will be missed immensely, but his faith was very strong, and there's no doubt he's in a better place, reunited with his beloved Audeen.

I really regret that I did not mow Dalton well. We were separated by age and distance, but our recent visit a couple years ago was so delightful, and I will always cherish it. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you and we know that you rejoice with us that Dalton is home at last.

Dalton, you were one of those unique individuals that God blesses the world with:  kind, cheerful, creative, brave.  Utterly trustworthy.  We are celebrating your life and hoping to be a little more like you.  Love, Peggy and Jim

I'm sorry I can't send more. But I can send you my love. Dalton was the kindest and most brave man I've known. With his ability to overcome adversity he inspired me to overcome my own. He will always hold a special place in my heart.
