Daniel P. Hambleton died on July 3, 2016. Daniel was born September 26, 1927, in Guthrie County, Iowa to Walter and Lena (Middleton) Hambleton. He grew up in that farming community until he served in the U. S. Army from 1950 to 1952 during the Korean Conflict. He worked in the construction field for over 60 years in the Colorado Springs area and in Anchorage, Alaska. Daniel spent his later years in his garden in Colorado Springs.
Daniel is preceded in death by his son, Linn Dee Hambleton; his parents, Walter and Lena; his sisters: Neva Bosier and Mary Parker; and his brothers: Dar, John, and Douglas Hambleton.
Daniel is survived by his wife of 65 years, Shirley Ann; his daughters: Jane Vasquez; Laura Resigner (Allen); Kathryn Reiman (Stanley); his son, Benjamin; sisters: Rose Glade and Hope Doyle (Richard); brother-in-law Robert Parker (Shelvy); Sisters-in-law Joyce Hambleton, Barbara Hambleton, and Deborah Hambleton; 19 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
