He enjoyed fishing, golf, gardening and good food and wine. He will be remembered as a loving and hard-working husband, a compassionate and wise father, the best Papa ever to his grandchildren, and a faithful friend to all that had the privilege of knowing and working with him. I did not know Mr. Winter personally, but I heard him speak at the CBS TD conference earlier this year. All of you are in the thoughts and prayers of the Mansfield, Ohio, evening class. May the Lord wrap you in His loving arms and give you His peace in the days and months to come.

Patty & Family,

Claire & I wanted to let you know how sorry we were to hear of Dan's passing. We both recall the very happy times that we shared together during our assignment with you and several other classmates at the Advanced Course in Indianapolis and the long lasting friendships we developed there. Please know that you are all in our thoughts and prayers!

With great affection,

Paul & Claire Joseph

Dan was Carl’s brother and Carl was my best friend beginning in grade nine at HHS. Our mother’s knew each other well back on the farms where they grew up in Hemlock area. (Watson Road and Raucholz Road).
I often visited Carl’s home and thus got to know Dan, Chuck, and Mary. My brother Paul and Dan also became friends.
There are more ties between our families for sure. I am so thankful the Winter family invited me to join them at Dan’s nephew Chris’ home in Grand Blanc, MI on July 4th, 2015. Now that gathering becomes even more poignant in my memory.
Dan was a true Winter as described in his obituary. What a wonderful family I was blessed to know. May you all find strength through your faith and the knowledge there are MANY who have been blessed by Dan’s touch on their lives.
Peace/Strength,

John and I send our love and prayers for Patty, Erin, and Kerri and their families. We are shocked and so saddened by Dan's untimely death. It's been very hard to believe that the Lord took him home so early (from our perspective!) He was such a wonderful man of God, an example of faith and a life of service, well lived.

We have special memories of being with our grandchildren's "Papa". We're so grateful for a special lunch together with Dan and Patty just a few days ago. God's amazing timing.

Our family will miss Dan. We wish we could be at the service to remember him and mourn with you, but that is not possible.

May the God of peace and comfort be with each one of you. We look forward to being with Dan again in our heavenly home, glorifying the Lord together! In the meantime, know that we are praying for you lots and lots!

Love from Carol and John Dettoni
