

Dave was a native of Colorado, a loving and caring man who was loved by all. A retired U.S Airman of 20 years, he then drove trucks for Bekins Van Lines. Later he purchased and became owner of his own business, Centennial Building Services. He retired again but kept busy.
His family referred to him as the energizer bunny. His lawn was the envy of Main Street. During his lifetime he was an avid golfer, bowler, fisherman, RV owner, hunter and football fan. His team was the Oakland Raiders which irritated his wife, a Broncos fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife Susanna Mata of 46 years. Falling short of 47 years of marriage by 6 days.
His siblings are Rudy Mata, Helen Mata and Margie Vigil (deceased). Three children Bonnie Everson, Steven Mata and Larry Mata (deceased), two stepchildren Sheila Gaddie and Edward Perez. Fifteen grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and fourteen great-great grandchildren.
Services are at Swan Law 501 N. Cascade in Colorado Springs. The viewing is at 10 am. The service at 11 am, followed by the reception at noon.
