David Michael Crum

David was born on March 16, 1961, at the Fort Carson Army Base in Colorado Springs, Colorado, to William and Marilyn Kay Crum. He grew up in a lively, loving household, graduating from Lewis Palmer High School before attending Scottsdale Community College for a short time.

As a son, David was a source of deep pride and love, sharing an especially close bond with his mother. As a brother, he was a steady anchor and a true friend—forever woven into the stories, laughter, and shared memories of his siblings. His ability to recall and relate some of those memories was always a joy and usually shared with questionable embellishment. His gentle spirit, quick wit and bright smile remained a constant comfort and joy to his family and friends. His love for his Denver Broncos and Godiva Truffles was legendary!!

David is survived by his loving and devoted mother, Marilyn Kay Crum of Monument, Colorado. He also leaves a legacy of love through his sister, Brenda Solberg, and her family; Geoffrey, Rylee, and Gwendolyn, as well as his brother, Shawn Crum, and his family; Christi, Branden, Brittany, Michael, Brady, and Lucas.

David is reunited in peace with his father, William John Crum; his younger brother, Richard Brian Crum; both sets of grandparents, Ray and Harriet Ford, and Gerald and Grace Crum; as well as many other dear extended family members who passed before him.

He will be profoundly missed, but his warmth and the memory of his laughter will live on forever in the hearts of those who loved him.

A celebration of David’s life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 14, 2026, at the Woodmoor Barn and Community Center in Monument, Colorado. Family and friends are invited to attend and share their favorite memories of David.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made in David's name to Saint Jude’s Children Hospital.
