Born in Colorado Springs, Colorado May 16, 1948 to Joseph and Dorothy (Looper) Masterson. Dave made his final journey February 8, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. A Colorado Springs Native, he worked at Peak Meat Company , Chrissy Fowler Lumber, Colorado Springs Park and Recreation, and Colorado Springs Utilities as a foreman for Electric T & D Substations, retiring after 35 years of service. Dave was a compassionate caring man who always helped anyone in need. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, the outdoors, watching wrestling, stock car racing, and being a jokester who would torment any family member or friends. He loved parties, barbeque’s, and get togethers for the neighborhood that included blocking the street for
block parties.
Survivors include Jackie Masterson, daughters Tonie Masterson and Bonnie Bergland (Clint), grandchildren Matthew, Justin, Tiffany, Misty, and Desiree, great grandchildren Rayna, Leland, Mia, Audrey, Gabby, and Angela, two step children Sara and Chris, along with many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and a long time best friend and partner in crime George Dillon.
A celebration of life will be held at Memorial Gardens Chapel of Roses on Saturday February 14, 2015 at 10:00 AM, officiated by Pastor Steve Burford of Cathedral Rock Church. Reception to follow at Memorial Gardens Chapel of Roses.
