

David was born May 18, 1934 to Raymond and Antonia White in Marshall County, near Haverhill, Iowa. He passed away on January 8, 2026 in Colorado Springs, CO. David came from a farming family. He graduated from Grinnell High School in 1952. David joined the Navy and served twenty-two years. While in the Navy he became an electrician. He served three tours in Vietnam and was very proud to be a Vietnam Vet. He made sure to put out his American flag along with the POW flag everyday. After leaving the Navy, David returned to Waterloo, Iowa and went to work for John Deere. He worked the second shift at John Deere for over 40 years. David’s Catholic faith was important to him. He was preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Antonia White, his son Steven S. White, his brothers Willis Charles White, Claire White, and Steve White, and his wife Betty Jane White. David is survived by his son Patrick D. White, and his grandchildren Patrick Jr and Alexandria. He has two great grandchildren Lucas and Leena White. He is also survived by his sisters, Mary and Ruth, and his brothers Louis, Mark, Edward, Luke, and Matthew. Along with several nieces and nephews.
Rosary and Funeral services will be held at Memorial Gardens Cemetery & Funeral Home, located at 3825 Airport Road, Colorado Springs, CO 80910, on January 20, 2026. The funeral service will take place from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm, followed by a committal service from 2:00 pm to 2:30 pm.
