

Denis Leveille was born on February 2, 1947, to Rita Grandmaitre and Gaston Leveille in Eastview, Canada. In 1957, he emigrated from Canada to the United States with his family, settling in Colorado Springs. In 1968, he married Patricia Andreatta. Denis became a U.S. citizen through naturalization in 1972.
A Vietnam-era Air Force veteran, Denis earned his Ph.D. from the University of Denver in 1983. He spent 35 years in Civil Service which took him to Europe for four years. He later founded his own private practice, Wisdom Works, in Colorado Springs. He was a gifted builder and craftsman, building two homes in Colorado with his own hands, including a cabin outside Cripple Creek that has remained in the family.
Denis was preceded in death by his sister, Pierette ‘Pete’. He is survived by his wife, Patricia; his three sons, Sean (Kathy), Jason (Melissa), and Justin (Rebecca); his sisters, Lise and Micheline; his brothers, Andre and Charles; and six beautiful grandchildren, whom he adored: Emily, Jade, Nathan, Erica, Joseph and Marie ‘Robin’.
A service will be held at Memorial Gardens, 3825 Airport Rd., Colorado Springs, CO 80910, on September 3, 2026, at 11 a.m.
