Dolores Jean West

Dolores (Stalker) West went to be with her Lord on September 8, 2016 at the age of 90 in Colorado Springs, CO. Dolores was born on October 21, 1925 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to George and Carrie Stalker. She was a graduate of Riverside High School in Milwaukee and Moody Bible Institute in Chicago, IL. In 1947. On December 17, 1949, Dolores married Robert Paul West, also a graduate of Moody Bible Institute, in Milwaukee, WI. They were married for 54 yeas before Robert went home to be with the Lord. Dolores was a member of Rustic Hills Baptist Church in Colorado Springs and enjoyed volunteering at Focus On The Family for several years. Before moving to Colorado, she was the church secretary at Faith Baptist Church in Brainerd, MN. Dolores and her husband Bob ministered in several Baptist Churches over the 53 years of their marriage. They also served as missionaries in Munich and Bad Heilbrune, Germany with Baptist Mid-Missions in the early 1950’s. Dolores Jean West is survived three children: Elizabeth (Jerry) Littlejohn of Colorado Springs, CO; Philip (Ellen) West of Grand Rapids, MI; Lydia (Rich) Luedeke of Fort Wayne, IN; 8 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; her sister Lola Loyola of North Wilksboro, NC; her sister Ruth Steer Of Pontiac, IL; and her brother George Stalker of Fresno, CA. Dolores is preceded in death by her husband Robert West and her parents George and Carrie Stalker. Memorial Services will be held in Colorado Springs, CO on September 14, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at Rustic Hills Baptist Church with internment at Fort Logan National Cemetery in Denver, CO.
