

Donald Waite Braidwood was born on March 31, 1927 in St. Joseph, MO, the son of Thomas A. and Marion Waite Braidwood and passed away peacefully at his home on October 8, 2012. He graduated from East High School in Kansas City, MO, attended Kansas City Jr. College and graduated from Georgia Institute of Technology with a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering and earned a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri where he was also an instructor in the Electrical Engineering Department.
Don served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict stationed a White Sands Missile Range, NM. In 1963 Don was the first engineer employed at the Colorado Springs division of Hewlett Packard working on the Oscilloscope Recorder and later retired in 1990.
Don was a member of the Delta Tau Delta Fraternity at Georgia Tech. Also he lists membership in the Institute of Electorical and Electronic Engineers, Institute of Radio Engineers and Eta Kappa Nu Honorary Association of Electrical Engineers.
He married JoAnne Guyer in Blue Springs, MO on November 21, 1959. They have two sons Robert Guyer Braidwood and Thomas Guyer Braidwood both of Colorado Springs.
