Donald W. Queen

He was born on March 15, 1957 and was a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs. He assumed ownership of his father’s company and has owned and operated Allen’s Cleaning Company since 1980. Through that business he made numerous friends. Don could initiate a conversation with anyone he met and always had a story or joke to relate to them. Since childhood, Don had an incredible passion for the outdoors and passed that passion along to his sons who will continue the tradition of camping, hunting, fishing and 4-wheeling. Don loved to travel with his wife and family. He was the instigator in most of the families’ activities and never ran out of energy or enthusiasm. Don loved and lived for his family. He will be remembered for his passion for life, his generosity and optimism.

He leaves behind his wife of 36 years, Ellen (Wohr) Queen; sons, Donald Jason (Jennifer) and Robert Matthew (Ashley); 3 grandchildren, Cassidy, Rachel, and Ryan; his in-laws Robert and Florence Wohr; sisters-in-law, Jane and Julie; a nephew Joe and a niece Katie.

His life will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 23, 2013 at 11:00 at Swan-Law Funeral Home.
