Donna Sue Millhauser passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 19, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Amherst, Texas. Donna graduated from UCCS with a bachelor’s degree in education and was a substitute teacher in District 11, particularly at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School. She always enjoyed teaching and especially loved coaching bowling, softball and baseball. Holidays in Mesquite Nevada with her husband Harold was a favorite bit of fun.
She is survived by her partner in life, Harold “Mel” Millhauser whom she married 56 years ago in Albuquerque. She is also survived by her sister Vicki (Jim) Parrish, her children Julie (Scott) Gavinski, Glenn (Julie) Millhauser, Valerie (Paul) Hanson. And her best joy – her grandchildren, John, Cliff, Ashley (John) Whitney, Jeremy, Bobby and great grandson, Jordan.
Donna was kind, selfless and compassionate. Her devotion to our family was inspirational and she will be dearly missed.
Services will be at Memorial Gardens Chapel, 3825 Airport Rd., on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at 12 p.m.
