Donna M. Ziegler

April 3, 1956November 12, 2019

Donna Ziegler, 63, of Colorado Springs, passed away on November 12th, 2019. She was born in Bethel Park, Pennsylvania on April 3rd, 1956 to Theodore and Marcella (nee Nally) Zitelli. Donna graduated from Bethel Park High School in 1974. She received her Bachelors in Social Science in 1989 and her Masters in Human Resource Management in 1992, both from Troy State University. Donna was a proud veteran, having served in the United States Army as a Licensed Practical Nurse for six years. She also had a career in Human Resource Management for 11 years. During her time in the Army, she met and married the love of her life, Chuck. Together they traveled the world and raised five children. Donna’s passions included cooking, dancing, singing, traveling and spoiling her grandchildren. She was happy when she was spending time with her kids, but she was absolutely the happiest when she spent time with her husband. She had an amazing sense of humor and could always make you laugh. Her recipe for banana bread will go down in history as the best banana bread ever. Donna is survived by her devoted husband of 40 years Chuck; children Angela (Matt) Payne, Jason Ziegler, Megan (Levi) Ziegler, Jacob (Ashley) Ziegler, Alex (Nicole) Ziegler; grandchildren Quinn, Brennen, Cameron, Madeline, Ava and Grayson. She is also survived by her mother Marcella; eight brothers and sisters; numerous in-laws, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Theodore. A celebration of Donna’s life will be held at 2 pm on November 25th at Swan Law Funeral Home 501 N. Cascade Ave, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
