

Doris Carolyn Stoll, age 79, of Colorado Springs, Colorado, passed away on May 20, 2024. She was born on February 4, 1945, to James R. Pechan and Eveline Leona Gudmunson-Pechan. She graduated from Augustana University and received a degree in business education in 1966. She also graduated from Charis Bible College and received a degree in biblical studies in 1999. She was married to Delbert A. Nelson, together they had Brook Nelson. She was later married and divorced to Michael Stoll.
She had many careers, including: teaching business education in South Dakota and Wyoming, executive secretary at The Central Bank and Trust in Lander, Wyoming, and business manager in the office of Doctor Thomas Long in Lander, Wyoming. Upon moving to Cheyenne, Wyoming, she worked as a medical transcriptionist at Clinical Labs, before moving to Colorado Springs, Colorado. There, she was employed at Andrew Wommack Ministries until she retired.
She was a member of The One-Shot Antelope Hunt Club, as their executive secretary. Doris had a passion for bird-watching, football and hockey. She was an avid hunter and marksman; she also loved to fish and travel: traveling all 50 states, along with all 13 provinces and territories of Canada. She loved many pets throughout her life as well. Doris had a generous heart, and loved giving to others, along with sharing all that she could.
Doris is survived by Delbert A. Nelson, her son, Brook Nelson, her daughter-in-law, Bethany Nelson, and her two grandchildren, Conner and Naomi Nelson.
A memorial service for Doris will be held Wednesday, June 12, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Swan-Law Funeral Directors, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, CO 80903.
