Dot was an inspiration to many because of her love of people and her insatiable creative spirit. She loved to paint with oils and she loved music. She played the piano and often was asked to play at memorials at The Bridge. Dot devoted countless volunteer hours to Mothers Mutual, the local chapter of the Red Cross and many other causes.
She is survived by her two children, David Lake Young (Mary Ellen) and Dorothy Jeanne Young, nieces Leslie TenEyck (Gary) and Barbara Weber (Robert), nephew Bill Clifford (Lisa) and many devoted friends. She is predeceased by her husband, father and mother, her sister Barbara Clifford, and her brother William Dix.
She was a member of Divine Redeemer Catholic Church.
As per her wishes, a private memorial to honor and celebrate her life will be held with family and friends. In lieu of flowers, it was her request that donations be sent to Divine Redeemer Catholic School.
