E. Collette Hobson, 94, went to Heaven on September 24, 2014. Collette was born January 8, 1920 in Gore, OK to Carl and Lela Lee. She moved to Colorado Springs in 1983, after living in Blackwell, OK and Abilene, KS. While in these areas she was involved in women’s fashions and design.
During in her life Collette was involved and enjoyed a number of hobbies and past times. She enjoyed horses, dog shows, fishing and boating as well as antiquing, golfing and traveling.
Collette was preceded in death by her parents, a brother Carl Lee, Jr. and her first two husbands Al Green and Royce Price. She is survived by her husband of 20 years Richard Hobson; daughter, Dianne Whitaker; grandsons, Camden (Heather) Whitaker and Cary (Christina) Whitaker; great grandchildren, Emma, Clara and Asher.
A Memorial Service is planned for Friday, October 3, 2014, 1:00 p.m., Swan-Law Funeral Director’s Cascade Chapel.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Salvation Army, Springs Rescue Mission or charity of the giver’s choice.
