Ed was born on June 20, 1942 in Leadville, Colorado to Bernard and Mary Leah Schultz. He was the second child and had an older brother, Bill and a younger sister, Barbara. His mother later remarried, giving him a half sister, Patricia and brother, Arnold Clemans.
While home on leave in Dotsero, Colorado he was introduced to Lois Hill for a blind date. After a long off and on courtship, they were married on October 11, 1964 in Eagle, Colorado.
Edward had three children, James Edward, Michael Joseph and Susan Marie.
He spent nearly 21 years in the Navy. As a family, they traveled from one coast to the other plus Australia and Japan. He traveled many places overseas.
He loved hunting with his kids and grandkids, woodworking and babies. He always had Navy stories for his grandkids and anyone else who would listen.
He is survived by his wife, Lois and children James (Bobbi), Michael (Michelle), Susan (Brian) Salvatori, 8 grandkids and 9 great grandkids.
He was preceded in death by his parents, step-father and brother, Arnold.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to Alzheimer’s Association and or National Vietnam War Museum
