

in Colorado Springs, CO from a fight with cancer. Ed was
born September 5, 1933 in Grand Junction. His parents
were Fredrick and Viola Shaver. He and Meredith were
married on September 13, 1957 and had just celebrated
58 years of marriage.
Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Meredith of 58 years;
his children, daughter Betty Small (Herb),and son Paul;
his grandchildren, Kristi, Joel (Sarah) and great
granddaughter, Mia; two brothers and one sister and
many nieces and nephews.
His father and mother preceded him in death.
Ed was a retired mechanical engineer and spent 4 years in
the Air Force in the late 50's. He was an avid bowler,
enjoying bowling, 4-wheeling, camping in the Colorado
Rockies and following his grandkids in all their activities as
well as attending a couple games of both the Rockies and
Broncos each year. Ed was a member of the Rocky
Mountain 4WD Club for 39 years. He held a private pilots
license and owned his own plane in his early 20's. He loved
to relive those fun times .He enjoyed manytrips to the WWII
Air Museum in Colorado Springs. A Celebration of Life will be held at Swan-Law
Mortuary in Colorado Springs on Wednesday September 30, 2015
at 10:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of
Edward Shaver may be made to the American Cancer Society.
