Eldon “Spike” was a Colorado third generation native born to Gene and Virginia (Rose) Martin. Spike was born a twin. Sandra died shortly after birth. Spike graduated from Wasson High School and attended Western State University. He was employed by the City of Colorado Springs for 37 years, retiring from the Utilities Department. He was an Alpine Ski Official for USSA.His passion was fly fishing, along with hunting, camping and skiing.
He is preceded in death by his parents, twin sister, and brother El Paso County Deputy Hugh A. Martin. He is survived by his wife of 61 years Eileen, children David and Jeanine (Chris) Fark, grandchildren Tyler (Rachael) Fark and Danice (Steve) Richardson, and great-granddaughters Rylee and Emersyn Fark.
