Eldora Irene Hill

October 29th,1927-July 27th,2013

Eldora Irene Hill was born in Oakdale WI on October 29,1927 to John C. Hoefs and and Mamie (Brandt). Eldora graduated from Tomah High school. She worked at the Ford Delco plant during WWII. After the war she met Stanley E. Hill at a wedding dance and married shortly after. The couple moved to La Crosse MN and bought their first house but after the next winter headed south to Fort Worth TX. During that time the family started to grow with the addition of John. Moving to Richmond VA, James and Lisa were added. In 1964, the family moved to Colorado Springs CO where they resided until they moved to Florence CO in 2008. During Eldora’s adult life, she was a mother, grandmother, professional seamstress, den mother ,and volunteer for church, school, and any activities her children signed her up for. She enjoyed bowling, golfing, gardening, and her yearly trips with her husband and friends to Bella Vista AK. In her last years in Florence CO Eldora spent much time at the Florence Senior center, spending time with friends and enjoying Thursday night Karaoke. Eldora attended both St.John’s Lutheran church and Florence Church of the Nazarene.

Eldora is survived by her children John, James, Lisa (Greg), grandchildren Jeremy, Jessica (Nick), Corissa (Chris), Kristen (Barry), Mackenzie (Ryan), Jesse, Clayton and 8 great grandchildren.. She was proceeded in death by her loving husband Stan and great granddaughter Emma.

Her friends and family will always remember Eldora for her positive outlook on life and always looking for the best in people.

Memorial contributions my be made to Florence Senior center, St. John’s Lutheran church or Florence Church of the Nazarene.

Celebration of life services will be held at Swan-Law Funeral Chapel,501 N Cascade, Colorado Springs, CO on Thursday, August 1,2013. Viewing and vistitation at 12:00 P.M. service at 1:00 and graveside to follow.
