Eli was a 9th grader at Doherty High School. He was high achieving, dedicated lover of learning. He excelled in school and had a passion for Science and Writing. Eli was a natural athlete; loved wrestling and track and was a true leader on the field or the mat.
Eli was a very introspective, thoughtful, compassionate, and kind young man. An “old soul” from birth who was impatient with life. He was a bright light whose wisdom was well beyond his years. He loved his family and friends with his whole being and was a loyal friend. Eli’s brother Tate adored him and Eli’s genuine love and patience with him has supported his brother to progress in ways no other person could have. He loved animals, in particular his dogs Olive and Schazi and the best “pet sitter” ever!
Eli leaves behind a very large family who will cherish the gift of his life, his Mom’s Julie Waid & Kay Scott; Brother, Tate Scott-Waid; Grandfathers; Skip Scott & James Waid; and a congregation of adored Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and friends gathered here today and remembering him today across the country.
A Celebration of his life is scheduled for Saturday, February 2, 2019 at Swan-Law Funeral Home; 501 N Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903 at 2:00 PM. There will be a reception at Swan-Law after the service.
