Eric Scott Tammen

Eric Scott Tammen, beloved son, brother and uncle passed away on Tuesday May 19, 2026. He was born in Penrose Hospital on June 21, 1970 and was a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs. Eric faced so many challenges during his life, both developmentally and physically but lived a life filled with love and adventure. He loved his family, his host home family, his friends and caregivers, loved going to his “work”, loved going to Target and always loved “going out to eat”. The lessons we learned from his simple acceptance of his challenges were an inspiration to us all.

He is survived by his mother, Leslie Bent, his sister, Erin Louden (Greg) his host home family, Thomas and Kelly Brinkmann, his nephew Wyatt, his niece Catherine, aunt, uncle and cousins. Eric has left an incredible legacy of love and life lessons for which we are eternally grateful.

The family will celebrate his life on Thursday, May 28th, 3pm at his church home, Vista Grande Baptist Church, 5680 Stetson Hills Blvd, Colorado Springs.
