Evangeline Louise Pascone

Tuesday November 14, 2023, surrounded by loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer.

Born on October 29, 1952, in Roy, New Mexico, to Mary Louise Valdez and Jose Efedencio Ornelas, Evangeline's heart always remained tied to New Mexico, even after her family relocated to Denver, Colorado, where she was raised.

She married Philip Pascone, with whom she shared the joy of raising five children. Evangeline is survived by four of her children: Andrea (Raymond), Paul (Devon), Vincent, and Lori. She held a special place in her heart for David Coca & Robert Munoz, treating them as her own, along with her forever daughters-in-law Amber Martinez, Renee Romero, and Tobi Duran. Her eight grandchildren, Aiden, Alyis, Sierra, Serenity, David, Jayden, Adrian, Lanayah, and Briella, were her pride and joy. She is also survived by her sisters Kathleen Daniels (Wesley) and Yvonne Ornelas, along with her forever sister-in-law, Debbie Cantril, and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Evangeline is preceded in death by both her parents, her brother James Ornelas, her son Felice Anthony Pascone, and son-in-law David Lozano.

Affectionately known as Vangie or Vang by friends and family, she had a passion for cooking, flowers, plants, the color purple, her beloved "boys," and cherished worship with her spiritual sisters and brothers from the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Vangie will be deeply missed by many.
