Flint was born in Belmond, Iowa on Valentines Day 1973. He attended schools in Eldora and New Providence until moving to Colorado Springs in 1985. While living in Colorado Springs, he attended Sproul Jr High School and Widefield High School graduating in 1991. He then attended the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley, CO.
Flint’s passion was cars. Working in the car industry gave him the opportunity to become familiar with many different models, and he traded and owned as many and as often as possible. He liked working on and customizing his vehicles, including the 1955 Chevrolet that was previously owned by his uncle Duane.
Flint married in 1995 and later divorced. He became the father of his three children: Brook, Brendon, and Brier. His children were active in sports, and he enjoyed watching them play basketball, baseball, softball, track, golf, and wrestling.
After living in Colorado Springs for several years, he returned to Clarion where he worked for Hagie Manufacturing, Fred Hoiberg Auto, and Pritchard Auto. He returned to Colorado Springs in 2019 where he was again employed with Perkins Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram. He was the go-to source of car damage and repair for family and friends.
Flint was very fortunate to remain friends with his classmates, especially the Burrows boys and Jay Henke, and his many co-workers. He added to his extended family with longtime friends Kim & Jeff Kretzer.
He is survived by his parents, Jim and Linda Boyd, brother, Patrick Boyd (Chantal Bleumer), and children, Brook Ruiter (Colby), Brendon Boyd, and Brier Boyd, as well as, Flint’s girlfriend, DJ Gieck, and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Bob & Carolyn Summers and Howell & Emma Boyd, uncle, Duane Summers, and cousin, Jeremy Williams.
