

94, passed away January 11, 2016 in Colorado Springs, Colorado. Frances was born in Trego County, Kansas on December 25, 1921, the oldest of six children born to Clifford and Goldie McKinley. She graduated from Trego Community High School in Wakeeney, Kansas in 1940 and married Lloyd D. Sandlin on June 15, 1941. Following Lloyd’s return from World War II, they moved their family to Wichita, Kansas. In 1980, she moved to Chandler, Arizona and in 2000, she moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado. Frances was a devoted mother, a beautiful seamstress and loved her garden. She worked many years as Manager of the House of Fabrics and Branch Manager for Union National Bank in Wichita. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Vivian; two brothers, John and Wilford; her husbands: Lloyd Sandlin in 1966, Ambrose Baca in 1997, Albert Hewitt in 2000 and a great-grandson, Trent Micah Finnicum. She is survived by one brother, LaVern McKinley; one sister, Donna McKinley; her four children: Shirley Sandlin Chaney (Dean), Sharlene Sandlin Gardner (Douglas), Garld Sandlin (Connie) and Vernon Sandlin (Dana); 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Frances was a member of First United Methodist Church in Colorado Springs and the Colorado Chapter of PEO.
Memorial services will be held at Swan-Law Funeral Directors in Colorado Springs, with burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens in Wichita, Kansas.
