Frank Boyd Moore

Frank of Aurora, CO. went to be with our Lord and Savior May 5th in his sleep. He was born in Blythedale, Missouri to Harry and Bessie Lee Moore, the 6th of 14 children, all of who have preceded him in death.

He graduated high school, joined the Army where he served 4 years, including time in Korea; then, came to Colorado Springs where he joined the Police Force. He met Shirley Bunch when she came into the Police Dept. to pay a ticket, his friend told him to ask her to go

for coffee or pop so he did and as he would say, "The rest is history!" They were married on January 22, 1955. They had 2 children Yvonne (BonBon) and Frank Jr (Tuffy) who they adored; then from the many girls they fostered they added Barbara Cuff to the family.

Frank and Shirley enjoyed many years playing music together, entertaining at dances and other events, especially at the Eagles Club as life members.

One of Frank's proudest moments was being promoted to Lieutenant on the Colorado Springs Police Department. He was forced into early retirement in 1974 due to injuries incurred in the line of duty.

After his retirement they relocated to Arizona where they lived until Shirley's death in 1998. He moved back to Colorado Springs where he lived until needing extra care. He then decided to move to Aurora

to be closer to his son and daughter-in-law. While there, he enjoyed going for rides, lunches, shopping and Sunday dinners (and football), holiday dinners and family get-togethers.

He is survived by daughters, Yvonne (Mike) Coleman, Barbara Cuff (Randy); son, Frank Jr (Donna); grandchildren, Mandy Coleman, Shane(Sydney) Coleman, Nikki (Rebecca) Coleman and great-grandsons, Jett Coleman and Clayton Giles; step grandsons, Rory (Haydee) Carr and Camron (Maggie) Carr. And many nieces, nephews and friends.

He touched everyone's heart in a special, meaningful and loving way, which will live on in all who knew and loved him!

In his honor, may we all live and spread his caring example as we continue on our paths.
