

Garry was born in Fontana, California in 1960 he was the youngest of three. Garry's parents were from Portage Indiana. Garry's father was of Hungarian descent and his mother was of German descent. As a child he enjoyed school and accomplished good grades. He loved playing baseball and hanging out with his best pals.
Summer trips on the train to Indiana were one of the happiest times of the year. Garry remembered all the stops and everything he saw along the way, mountains, cornfields, rivers and cities. But most of all he remembers his mom's fried chicken, fresh baked cookies and other treats all packed up nicely in a shoe box. At a young age Garry's parents taught him how to cook and eventually he was always in the kitchen alongside them making Hungarian and German foods such as, Chicken Paprikash, Cabbage Rolls, Galuska, homemade sausage and pierogies. The Gorgei family get-togethers were not complete unless they celebrated with their traditional bacon fry's!!
However, Mexican food was a family favorite and they would frequent Mexico Lindo. A local hole in the wall hot spot.At the time serving Mexican food for 28 years. Garry graduated high school in 1978 and loved going to the Colorado River at Lake Havasu, AZ boating and getting wild with his friends.
In 1982 he joined the Airforce and was honorably discharged. Garry had a son in 1988 and in 1994 he graduated from Cal Poly Pomona with his Bachelor Degree in Business Administration. In December of 2012 Garry also obtained his Master in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. He was a ski instructor and was also a Science and Math teacher.
In 2004 Garry met and married the love of his life Marie. They lived in Brea, and San Diego, California for many years. Garry worked as an IT project manager for two large companies and in 2019 they moved to Colorado Springs. Garry's hobbies included practical jokes, skiing, scuba diving, surfing, fishing, shopping and traveling. In 2024 he converted to Catholicism, receiving all of the Sacraments
Garry passed away peacefully surrounded by his wife and family.
