His journey began in June 1967 with his graduation from the University of Colorado in Boulder as an electrical engineer. We (Linda Beth Badger) then got married and started for California. He received a job offer from Lockheed Missiles and Space Company. His job helped computerize hospitals, designing the network. Lockheed decided this would be an independent company and Gary stayed with the new organization. He traveled to a lot of different countries when help was needed on the program.
He loved traveling and cruises. This was the first year we stayed at home. We are in our 80’s. He was an avid golfer. Retiring to Colorado made that more available than just the weekends. He was a voracious reader enjoying mostly mysteries.
His most favorite accomplishment was our son, Eric George Lager, retired Air Force, Load Master aboard the C-1 7. He was so proud of Eric. If asked, Gary would telI you alI about his fantastic son.
His journey ended peacefully, with no pain, Having played golf the day before.
