Gary Lawson

Gary L. Lawson, beloved husband, father, and brother, passed away peacefully on February 21, 2016, in Colorado Springs, Colorado. He was born in Robbinsdale, Minnesota, on February 19, 1959, to Vern and Wilma Lawson.

Gary graduated from Stewartville High School in 1977. After graduation, he attended Rochester Community College and then completed his undergraduate degree in Accounting at Mankato State University in 1981. After graduation, he worked at IBM in Rochester, Minnesota, and transferred to Colorado Springs in 1986. He completed his Masters in Finance from UCCS and worked at several companies in Colorado Springs and Denver, the most recent being United Technologies in Colorado Springs.

Family was extremely important in Gary’s life as was his love of nature. They enjoyed many family vacations in the Colorado and Utah area, as well hiking, snowmobiling, skiing, 4 wheel drives, and riding his dirt bike.

Gary leaves behind to cherish his memory, devoted wife, Lorraine Lawson; loving daughter Nicole; and sister, Nancy Lamping (husband Doug) of Eden Prairie, Minnesota; as well as niece Ashley Lamping and nephew Brandon Lamping of Eden Prairie, Minnesota.
