George “Dick” Richard Kuhnle, 86, passed away peacefully at home on February 16, 2012, with family and friends at his side. Dick was born in Des Moines, Iowa on March 3, 1925 to George Daniel Kuhnle and Gertrude Bell Amon Kuhnle. He graduated from Urbandale High School and attended the University of Dayton.
Dick joined the Navy at 17 and served his country for four years. He had a long career with International Telephone & Telegraph (ITT), retiring after 35 years with the company.
Dick is survived by the love of his life for 58 years, Eddythe (Carter), daughter Kathy Kuhnle, granddaughter Samantha Fulmer (Bryce), grandson John Marvel; daughter Kristie Williamson (Craig) and grandsons Seth Williamson and Noah Williamson. He is also survived by his cousin Bonnie Spencer and nephews John Peterson and Christopher Kuhnle (Kim) and numerous extended family and friends.
Memorial service will be held Thursday, February 23 at 11:00 am at Sunrise United Methodist Church.
