Preceded in death by his wife Doris Pauline (Polly) Willis, mother Julia Marguerite Onufrock and father Truman Harlon Willis. Survived by Sons Mike and Bill, daughter Wendy, their spouses and six grandchildren. Born in Colorado Springs, CO, ‘Doc’ was proud to be a Colorado native. He graduated in 1955 from Colorado Springs High School where he met Doris Pauline (Polly) Goldsmith. They were married August 24, 1958. A graduate in Business Administration-Accounting from the University of Denver in 1960 and continued on to earn a Masters. Doc practiced accounting and worked in Banking. Doc retired from Air Academy National Bank and then moved with Polly from Colorado Springs to Highlands Ranch in 2002 to be near their family. Doc was a Colorado outdoor enthusiast, enjoying with his family and friends, camping, fishing, hunting and horses. He was passionate about baseball, working with leather, reading, yard work (fruit trees) and baking. He loved to be near his family, watching and participating in many talking sessions, helping his ‘kids’ with their homes and attending more sporting events than one can count (kids and grandkids). His wealth of friends seemed endless as he inevitably would run into someone he knew wherever the family traveled. We all will miss Doc, his caring, sense of humor and ability to help others.
