Gina Lea Johnson

June 17, 1957- June 17, 2018

Gina passed away peacefully in Colorado Springs, Colorado on June 17, 2018 to be with God. She was born June 17, 1957 to Gerald and Betty Finley, in Pueblo, Colorado.

She is survived by her husband Stephen Johnson, her father Gerald B. Finley, step-son Cory Johnson, his wife Stacey, granddaughters, Nola and Calla, step-son Nathan Johnson, wife Leah and granddaughter Harper, two best friends and angels Denise and Christina, and many others she touched in life.

Gina was preceded in passing by her mother Betty Finley and her brother Gerald Finley Jr.

Gina graduated from Wasson High School, where she cheer leaded for three years. She gained her extra education while spending a career of 30 years with Colorado Springs Utilities. She was a Material Analyst and IT Project Manager of several major projects.

Gina was a giving and caring soul, for all she knew. The importance to her was the well-being and success of all she knew and worked with. Family was a priority and her love and giving is appreciated by all who received it. She will be missed.

Gina was an animal lover. There wasn’t a stray animal that didn’t find their home without her help.

She was a supporter of the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and El Paso County Humane Society and Animal Rescue Organizations. In lieu of flowers, please remember the preceding organizations.

The service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church at 11:00am, Thursday June 28, 2018. Reception will be at Patty Jewett, following the service. God bless you.
