Gwendolyn Adell Komatz, 78 passed away on 2-20-2025 peacefully in her home. Gwen was a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs. She graduated was Wasson H.S. In 1965. Meeting her husband Tony shortly after, the two married on November 20th , 1966, and had two sons. She is survived by her sons Anthony and Scott. Gwen spent 18 years working for the Western Horseman Magazine. She then left to go work for the Colorado Springs Police Department for the next 28 years. She retired in 2018.
She along with her beloved dog Turner enjoyed spending their time out in the community with the Go Team organization.
A visitation for Gwendolyn will be held Friday, March 7, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM with funeral service from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM, 501 North Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs, Colorado 80903. A reception will follow at Swan Law Reception Hall.
