I will always remember my little sister—her bright blue eyes that lit up every room and the way music stirred her soul just like it did mine. From the moment Haley was born, she was a miracle. Life was never easy for us. Going into foster care, being adopted, carrying the weight of abandonment and neglect—she faced so much pain so early on. Yet even through that, she remained a beautiful, radiant soul.

As I read through her obituary, I keep coming back to the bond we shared. Ruth B.’s music tied us together in a way I’ll never forget. When I turned 18, I had the chance to see Haley again. I didn’t know then that I would be losing her all over again, after all those years of being apart. I was too young to understand how fleeting our time together would be.

I always dreamed of the simple, everyday things—taking her dress shopping, talking about boys, laughing late into the night—the things big sisters are supposed to do. But I never got those moments. She was my everything, and yet I had so little time with her. My heart aches for all the years we were robbed of, and for all the memories we’ll never get to make.

Now that I’m grown and have my two sweet, precious girls, I see my sister in them. I see her eyes when I look into theirs, and it reminds me that a part of her still lives on in my daughters. Haley was a miracle, a light, and my sister. I will carry her love—and the pain of losing her—with me for the rest of my life.

Haley this is Ty and I miss you a lot I think about you everyday. I love you so much and I hate that I wasn’t there for you but on a brighter note I remember our last time hanging out together. We went to Branson Missouri and then I got to come back with you guys to Colorado with you and the rest of the family. You out of all people know I hate flying but you are one of the only people I would face my fear of heights to hang out with. I wish you were still here and we had more time together. We knew each other for years on end and I still remember the first day we met in your backyard cause of our parents and Ethan. Fly High Purple Butterfly. You will be remembered not forgotten l.

Haley was such a good friend and only friend of mine in 7th grade, I think of her often and remember the doll house we had built before she passed. I remember we’d always listen to whip it by devo before class in the mornings and change the lyrics. Some of my best memories were with her and I miss her dearly.

Hayley was my best friend for a while. I wish I had more time with her. I miss her everyday. And i pray that she is doing alright, she was truly loved by everyone she met. She was and is still very beautiful. I will never forget the time i got to have with her 

Adding a little more context to my memory of Haley. I was never super close to her but knew her throughout elementary and the beginning of middle school as a classmate. Everynow and then we would talk in the library before middle school and other such. I never knew she was struggling. She sung the album "safe haven" by Ruth B but I remember her singing "Lost boy" the last few weeks she was alive. Listen at your discretion because every time it comes on I start crying for her. I can always picture the way she sung it. She had serious talent and very well could have become a famous singer. Still thinking about her many years later. I won't let the world forget you Haley, rest in peace 🤍

I remember how beautifully she would sing Ruth B's songs. Still thinking about her and am working on songs in memory of her. Miss you Haley, I won't forget you.

I'm haileys biological older sister  blossom and I miss her so much I remember her she was a beautiful smart creative and she singed like a angel I will miss her deeply I love her so much and she will be missed and loved by me and her adopted parents who love her and every day for the rest of our lives 

Hello,  I know you do not know me. Haley has a brother David. He is living with our family and has become one of us. He was adopted and has never had the opportunity to make peace with his sister's passing. Can you please help us make the connection for David. He is no longer living with his adopting family and this would help heal him. Thank you I'm sorry she's not on Earth anymore but in Heaven she rests.

Haley was a smart, beautiful, caring girl. We were best friends from 3rd grade until now. In 4th grade she told me that I was her inspiration to start singing. Haley's birthday is super close to mine, we're just 20 days apart. In 4th grade our teachers called us the birthday twins. In 5th grade we would always hang out on the field at recess and sing or make skits. One time we made a skit called "The Three Little Oinkers" and we performed it in front of the whole 5th grade. Some of the best memories of my life are with her. She was always there for me when my great grandma was in and out of the hospital and here I am writing this on the 1 year anniversary of my great grandmas death, just thinking about Haley. I could trust Haley with the world , she was amazing and I miss her so much.
