Harold Anderson

May 11, 1920March 8, 2012

Harold joined our Heavenly Father on March 8, 2012. He was the truly devoted husband of Vaneta Anderson for 65 years. Vaneta passed away on Jan 29, 2009. He taught us all what it meant to be a loyal, dedicated and faithful companion. Harold was employed by Hewlett/Packard – Agilent Technologies for 37 years. Prior to that he was employed by Alexander Film Company in Colorado Springs. Harold proudly served in the US Navy during World War II. He leaves behind his two loving children, Martin (Donna) Anderson and Dianne (David) Townsend. Harold had four loving grandchildren, Harold D Anderson, Victoria Hertzka, Charles Gruber, and Pamela (Thomas) Holder. He was blessed with 16 beautiful great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, Esther and Arthur Anderson, and sadly by his daughter Susan Anderson in 1991. In addition to being a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather, Harold enjoyed the mountains and spent many years camping, fishing, and snowmobiling. He was an active member of the Elks 309 Club as well as the Fraternal Order of Eagles. Visitation for friends of the family will be offered at noon on Wednesday, March 14, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, at Memorial Gardens Chapel. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation to Pikes Peak Hospice will be greatly appreciated.

I remember when Harold and Venata were in our HP camping club. They were such a job to be around and we all had lots of laughs and good times around many a campfire. He will always be remembered. Our love and prayers to his children and grandchildren.
