Harry George Stevens passed in his beloved mountain hometown of Woodland Park. He was 87 years old. Harry joined the U.S. Navy in 1943, during World War II. After returning to Colorado, he went on to have a long career as an Air Craft Manufacturing Plant Supervisor. He is remembered as being a great father, grandfather, husband and friend.
Harry is preceded in death by his parents Charles Stevens and Lottie (Libby) Stevens, his wife Elaine (Francis) Stevens and son Michael Johnston.
He is survived by five sons, Tom Stevens, Bob Stevens, John Johnston, Allen Donovan and Scott Donovan; and a daughter, Susan Hodges-Hill; and many more family members who loved him.
He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Visitation will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, March 11th, 2011 at Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 3825 Airport Rd., Colorado Springs, CO. Funeral service immediately following at 11:00 a.m., with burial service at 12:00 p.m.
