Helen "Ruth" Peterson Moore

"Ruth" Moore passed away December 28, 2009 after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Charles "Curley" Moore, her parents, Elmer and Margaret Peterson and sisters, Lucy Webb and Betty Magee and brother, Joseph Peterson.Ruth was a lifelong resident of Colorado Springs. She studied nursing at St. Mary's Hospital in Pueblo and pursed her medical career in Colorado Springs for many years. After retiring she thoughtfully and lovingly cared for her many "elderly" relatives and friends. Ruth is survived by her niece, Sondra Valenti (husband, Tony) of Golden; nephews, Don Thompsom of Pueblo and Gary Peterson (wife, Linda) of Huntington Beach, California. Also survived by niece, Janet Magnum (husband, Charles) of Colorado Springs and several great nephews including, Dr. Anthony Valenti of Golden; Christopher Valenti of Centennial and Rick Peterson (wife, Deena) of Huntington Beach, California and special friends Cathy and Dominic Inciti.Ruth's neighbor and friend, Monsignor Ricardo Coronado-Arrascue will officiate at the Rosary and Mass of the Christian Burial at St. Mary's Cathedral on Wednesday, January 6, 2010. Services begin at 1:00 p.m.. He will be assisted by Monsignor Slattery and Monsignor Dunn.In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to: St. Mary's Cathedral, 22 W.
