She was born June 16th 1919 in South Bend Indiana, the youngest of five children, Irene, William, Yolanda, and Emma, to the late parents Thresa and Frank Mallar.
While she was in the armed forces as a WAC in her early twenties she met her husband Allen S. Taylor and started a family in Denver Colorado. Two sons were born in Denver and the youngest in Anchorage Alaska. They were stationed in North Carolina for one year then to Colorado Springs, where they stayed and raised the family in the Black Forest.
Besides the love for her husband and children she loved to do her art work which included oil paints, water colors, pin and inks, and pencil sketches. She was nominated to a membership to the National Museum of Women in the Arts, the only museum honoring history's great women artists. She also was awarded artist of America 1995 honor's by the Denver Rotary Club. She was honored and proud to know the talented Norman Rockwell and enjoyed their visits together. She traveled to Paris, Rome and Venice taking pictures of all the beauty and history in order to paint and sketch those memories to canvas. Even in her later years when she lost most of her eyes sight she loved painting with her middle son Christopher, fighting MS. She lived with her youngest son Brad and his wife LaDon during her final years, and enjoyed painting with Brad as well. She always looked forward to the Sunday dinners with the family. The time with Brad looking thru her old pictures on her screen viewer always made her happy. Plus her painting party's will give the family dozens of precious lasting memories.
She always cherished the time with her grand son Storm Taylor, grand daughter Kassie deBesche, her husband Johan, the great grand children Brayden and Bridger.
Plus she always had a dog treat for our rat terrier Snoopy which kept her company on and off thru the day.
Mom your life was a blessing. Your memory a treasure. Your loved beyond words and missed beyond measure.
