

Helen was born on September 23, 1923 in Belfour, North Dakota as the oldest of 12 children born to the union of Julia (Larson) Nussbaum and Henry Nussbaum. She graduated from Drake High School in Drake, North Dakota and earned her teaching degree from Minot Teachers College in Minot, North Dakota where she met her husband, Wilmot (Bill) Wyckoff and married on December 27, 1948.
Helen is survived by a loving daughter, Julie Wyckoff-Bruning and son, Walter Wilmot Wyckoff.
Helen and her family traveled and lived throughout the Midwest due to her husbands work with the American Red Cross until they settled in Colorado Springs in 1976 to be close to her extended family who had relocated from North Dakota to Colorado Springs in 1955.
Helen was pre-deceased by her loving and devoted husband, Wilmot, on January 3, 1988.
Helen is survived by her two children and 3 sisters: Marion Nussbaum, Jeanette Elam and Arlie Warembourg; and two brothers: Tony and Dennis (Butch) Nussbaum; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Swan Law at 501 N. Cascade Avenue, Colorado Springs 80903 at 10:00 a.m. on December 31, 2014; followed by burial at Monument Cemetery.
