He was born in Austin, Indiana, November 28, 1936.
Herbert graduated from Elkhart High School in 1955.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Barbara J Heaton (Christiansen), whom he married in Elkhart, Indiana on August 18, 1962. They moved to Colorado with their two children in 1977.
He leaves behind, to cherish his memory, loving children, James A Heaton and Julie Ann Heaton; brother, G Norman Heaton of Elkhart, IN; two cats, Willy and Roo; as well as a host of extended family and friends.
