Hilda was born on November 14, 1926 in New Haven, Indiana to the late Orten Wesley Wulliman and Ruth Adina Rohrer Wulliman. Prior to moving to Colorado Springs in 1972, Hilda lived in Berne, IN, Winona Lake, IN, Fort Wayne, IN, Memphis, TN, Gibson City, IL and Urbana, IL.
She married Stanley K. Wilkinson on June 6, 1959 with whom she shared 54 years of married life before he passed away in 2014.
Hilda enjoyed camping and hiking with family. Her last hike with family was in Rocky Mountain National Park at the age of 90. She also enjoyed genealogy and studying her family’s history. Her grandparents came to the United States from Switzerland in 1852 and 1883 after which they helped found the city of Berne, Indiana. Hilda, her sister and one daughter, traveled to Switzerland in 2013 to visit her family’s homeplace. Stan and Hilda spent parts of 20 years sharing their love for the Lord as interim missionaries to Rough Rock, Arizona as they labored among the Navajo. They really learned to love the people, and probably would have moved there had logistics permitted.
Hilda is survived by six children, G. Ruth McCrary of Bourbonnais, IL, Sheryl (Jim) Jewell of Indianapolis, IN, Sharon (Greg) Thorne of Hot Sulphur Springs, CO, Ronald Wilkinson of Smithfield, UT, Karen Winter of Colorado Springs, CO, and Kenneth (Kendra) Wilkinson of Kremmling, CO, and one sister, Mary Hanley, of Monroeville, IN. She is also survived by 18 Grandchildren, 34 Great Grandchildren, and 4 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Stan, one brother Robert Wulliman, and two sons Royal Wilkinson and Steven Wilkinson.
