Irene Elsie Hansen

She graduated from Kadoka High School in 1949. She got her teaching certificate at Black Hills Teacher College. Irene met the love of her life while teaching in a country school in Belvidere. Irene and Philip Hansen got married at the Kadoka Presbyterian Church in Kadoka, South Dakota on December 23,1955. They moved to Colorado Springs in March 1966 in an old black Rambler station wagon with their 3 children. Irene sold Avon for over 20 years and was involved in several church's and bible studies.

Irene is survived by her children, Karen Kussman, Janet Hansen, and Kevin Hansen, her grandchildren Michelle and Bobby Phillips and Andrea and Charles Wilemon, her great grandchildren Robert Phillips and Crystal and Rowan Wilemon and siblings Richard and Joyce Drabek and Robert and Bev Drabek.

She was preceded in death by her husband Philip Hansen and sister's Iola Kezar and Marly Mechaley.

Irene will be laid to rest with Philip in Philip, South Dakota.
