Jack Gabardi, 74, native of Colorado Springs, raised in Woodland Park, passed into eternal life peacefully in his home with his family by his side. After fighting a 4-year battle with cancer, he joined his wife of 49 years in heaven.
Jack loved hunting, fishing, NASCAR and the Denver Broncos. He owned and operated his business, Apollo Auto & Transmission Service and Springs Trailers for 45 years. He also loved spending time with family and close friends. He was drafted by the Army in 1968 and stationed in Fairbanks, Alaska where he served 4 years as a Sergeant. He spent many of his younger years racing stock cars at the Pikes Peak Speedway, Pikes Peak Hill climb and Teller County Hill climb.
Survived by 3 daughters, Jennipher Gabardi Acedo, Jodi Gabardi-Boehs, Tonya Gabardi (Mark), grandchildren, Liza Acedo, Sara Acedo, Christopher Boehs, Dominic Martinez, Lola-Lee Boehs, Joseph Eccher and Jack Eccher. Also survived by his siblings, Robert (Virginia) Gabardi, Eleanor Ortwein, Duane (Jean) Gabardi , and a host of nieces and nephews.
Jack was a wonderful father, grandfather, brother and friend. He was a mentor to many. A loyal trust-worthy and amazing man who will be sorely missed.
